So how popular are they these days..I'd say they are still fairly popular. I have a few Sega Megadrive games for sale at the moment, 5 to be exact, and I have had a lot of responses from people wanting to buy them. No sale yet though for some reason. I guess I'm just getting a taste of what comes with selling items using online classifieds - Time wasters. Checking on eBay for Megadrive games and it's clear they are still in demand, people are bidding on them. Almost all of them have bids. Just seen Mortal Kombat II (Cartridge only) sell for £14. A lot of people, including myself, prefer the older consoles. They are cool and have that retro, nostalgic aspect. Who needs Call Of Duty Black Ops 3 when you've got Operation Wolf on Megadrive!
I grew up when Sega Megadrives and the Super Nintendo where like the latest consoles to hit the shelves. In the same Era, actually a bit earlier, you also had the normal Nintendo and the Sega Master System, one and two. If you had a Megadrive you were the man. Today it's Simplicity at it's finest, back then it was the latest technology. Kind of like what the PlayStation 4 and X-Box One are today. But these days it's not really a big deal anymore to own one like it was back then. Maybe that's the reason why I still like them, nostalgia. Just like why I love anything from the 1980's because I was an 80's kid. Technology has come a long way since the Megadrive days but I still think for game playability the Megadrive can still hold it's own. Of course if you compare graphics then they are worlds apart. I sometimes come across Megadrive games in places like carboot sales and secondhand shops. They are cheap to buy. Does anyone know if there are any super rare Megadrive games that demand big money?
Megadrive Games I have right now:
Mortal Kombat II
Ayrton Senna's Super Monaco GP II
Aladdin
Flashback
Sport's Talk Football 93' - Starring Joe Montana
The other game in the picture is for the Sega Genesis (Fifa 95)
