TriField TF2 Review (UK, USA, Canada)

TriField TF2 Review (UK, USA, Canada). The TriField TF2 EMF meter is capable of measuring magnetic and electrical frequencies in both standard and weighted. It's also kitted out with the ability to measure RF (radio / microwave frequency). This basically means that the TF2 can measure the frequency of just about anything electrical. From household items like hairdryers, microwaves, computers, televisions and WiFi routers, to smartphones, powerstations, powerlines (pylons) and cellphone towers (phone masts).

Available here (UK, USA and Canada)

More and more people are now using EMF meters to scan properties when looking for a new house / flat / apartment to see if there are any invisible dangers in the form of high levels / high spike areas of EMF. Also rising in popularity as electric cars now become a more permanent fixture, is the potentially high levels of EMF being found in some electric cars.

This is very dependent on model, but some do have high readouts in certain areas (see a Tesla readout). Although it should be noted, the meter in the picture at the link is reading magnetic fields, and normal cars can also give off fairly high readings in certain areas of the car. But, that Tesla readout is high for the meter just being sat on a seat. So its just something worth being aware of.

Read Consumer Reviews and Feedback

As a result, some potential buyers are taking an EMF meter with them to measure if the EMF is exessive in certain areas of the car. Anyone sensitive to EMF who is considering buying an electric car should either buy or borrow an EMF meter in order to check before purchase. The same goes for moving into a new home too (buying or renting).

One question that gets asks quite frequently about the TriField TF2: Can it measure / detect 5G. Well, due to the fact that the TF2's RF frequency range starts @ 20MHz and goes all the way up to 6GHz, yes, it can measure 5G at the moment. but could have some limitations if the proposed band of 28 GHz is used in the future (not in use yet and might not ever be, so should be all good for the next few years). Watch the review video below to see what is excluded from the 5G bands (above 24GHz).

TriField TF2 Meter Video Review

How does it compare to the Cornet ED-88tplus

As you can see in the review video, it's very easy to use. While comparable to other meters that fall within the same price range, such as the EMFields Acousticom 2 and PF5, some people prefer the digital readout of the TF2, and the fact that the manual dial at the front gives people the option to easily switch through the modes and measure different types of frequencies. A very versatile device. If you want an EMFields branded device that has a digital readout try the Acoustimeter AM-11 (measures up to 8GHz).

Reviews are generally positive, with an overall very high rating on Amazon. Build quality is good. The TF2 is made in America by AlphaLab, Inc. This device takes 1 square PP3 battery. Another, somewhat older model well worth buying if you can find one for sale, is the TriField 100xe (I think its also known as the Broadband meter or sometimes referred to as the TF1).

The older model, now discontinued, can sometimes be found for sale on eBay used. This model is rather old, so not really recommended over the newer models mentioned here if your intention is to measure RF specifically. The newer models are much better for that.

Acousticom 2 EMF Detector Review

Acousticom 2 EMF Detector Review. The Acousticom 2 by EMFields is one of the most popular EMF detectors out there for sale. It's very sensitive, well-made, easy to use and affordable. Those are the main reasons why it is such a good device. But don't be under an illusions, it's not exactly cheap in price.

EMF detectors, ones that actually work anyway, are not the cheapest devices to purchase. I was going to write a review for the Acousticom 2, but then came across a good basic video review from emfsafetyzone.com which pretty much covers all the features and selling points that this model has to offer.

Read the customer reviews for the Acousticom 2

It also gives a brief review / overview of its limitations and compares it to another detector from EMFields, the PF5 Pocket Power Frequency Meter (ELF & VLF). Both are very good, and can be found for sale in the UK and USA at the link. Both models take a PP3 (9-volt) battery (that's one of the square ones if you are unsure).

If you want to see more of the Acousticom 2 in action take a look at this post. Or to read more about EMF radiation, in particular 5G and its controversial deployment / rollout, take a look here. Another model well worth mentioning here is the TriField TF2. It has 3 modes of detection and a digital readout.

Microwave Radiation From Cell Towers Measured

Microwave Radiation From Cell Towers Measured. Everywhere you look now there is a cell phone tower, or phone mast as they are generally called in the UK. With the race for 5G (@60Ghz), which will give off higher radiation levels than anything before it (3G, 4G etc), even through the lockdown the towers have still been getting put up worldwide. Some even being reported as just "appearing" overnight. Errecting cell towers at night seems very shady.

Detector used in the video: Extech 480836 EMF Strength Meter 3.5GHz RF

Bear in mind that the video above, now being a few years old, was more than likely 3G or 4G. Five G is more dangerous. High levels of EMF radiation (low frequencies (ELF) and electromagnetic fields (EMF) are known to be harmful for humans, animals, and plant life. So this does seem like a total disregard for not only public health and safety, but for the Earth as a whole. It's as if the powers that be are saying, we know its dangerous, but we're putting it up anyway and there's nothing you can do about it. If you doubt what I'm saying here just watch the video below.

Titled: BIG WIRELESS CONCEDES: No studies showing safety of 5G. The video in a nutshell: "Safety is paramount". How much has been spent on independent testing? Answer: Nothing. Well there you have it, no independent testing has been done on 5G. This is uncharted territory. I suspect testing has been done behind closed doors, and they know just how dangerous this technology is. Hence the reason why they have not done any independent testing, as they know what the conclusions / findings will be [plausible deniability].

Other than techfreaks and people who are oblivious to the dangers of radiation, wireless or otherwise, almost no one wants 5G. To trade health for technological advancement is so silly and short sighted. I mean, don't the people who are behind the roll out realize that them and their family's are also going to be affected. Are they so obsessed that they just don't care anymore.

Microwave Radiation From Cell Towers Measured

So, what type of EMF meter do you need to measure this radiation. Well, any decent detector will show you in no uncertain terms that the radiation level is too high by giving off an extremely high reading. Meters like the Trifield 3-Mode TF2 (Excellent), Acousticom 2 RF (See it in action here), Acoustimeter and EMFields PF5 are very capable and affordable.

Wavemon RF-60

There's also a demand from people wanting to measure specifically upto 60Ghz for 5G. For that there is the Wavemon RF-60. However, I think that model is considered as industrial and requires more information from the potential buyer than just paying the money and getting it delivered. It looks like the websites that stock the Wavemon RF-60, such as wavecontrol, aesolutions.com.au, tester.co.uk and mrc-gigacomp.com may require the purchaser to be a company.

EMF Meter for phone mast and home use

The products mentioned here can also be used to monitor and measure the radiation levels from the devices in your home. Things like the WiFi router, microwave oven, smart meter, computers and smartphones. So if you're curious about how high the EMF radiation levels are in your home, and where gives off the highest readings, so you can create some space between you and the high EMF area(s), you may want to buy an EMF meter and perform a scan of your property.

Casio W-215H 8AVEF Watch Review

There are so many models of Casio watches. I know a few of them, but I've never seen this one before. The Casio W-215H 8AVEF is not really a new watch, there are reviews going back to 2015. It comes in quite a few colour combinations. Black, white, pink with white, full pink, black with a red face and purple are some colours I have seen. From having a quick browse around on the internet, It can be found for sale in the UK, USA, Europe and Japan.

Available to buy here from: Amazon UK

I prefer small watches, and while the W-215H 8AVEF is considered as a medium-sized watch, looking at it in pictures on men's wrists, and in the video review posted here, it's much too big for what I feel comfortable wearing. Features include: 50 meters water resistance, stopwatch, alarm, 12/24 hour time options and an Illuminator light. The Illuminator is adequate but it's not as good, or as uniform with its light spread as the W86 and F105W. It's comparable to the W800H (standard model) in terms of brightness.

Casio W-800H-1BVES Black Face Watch

Casio W-800H-1BVES Black Face Watch. I don't want to use the word rare, as there are many Casio's that are truly hard to find these days which can not be bought brand new any more. And this Casio W-800H-1BVES Black Face Edition can be purchased right now on Amazon UK. But, make no mistake, this is definitely a much more desirable version of the normal W800H.

Casio_W-800H_1BVES_Black_Face_Watch_Edition_Version

The normal Casio W-800H is a good watch, but I personally don't really like wearing mine. I discussed the reasons why in the post linked to below. But the black face model, sometimes referred to as negative contrast, is much better. It's colour coded to the rest of the watch and looks a lot cooler than the standard W800H. Of course, this version has all the features that the normal looking model has. 10 year battery life, water resistance to 100 meters, Alarms, Illuminator light etc. Buy one while you can.

OYYU T11 Tablet / Phablet Review

OYYU T11 Tablet / Phablet Review. Well, not really a full review, but more of a general talk about the Oi You! I mean OYYU. Compared to the leading brands it competes with, this one is largely unknown in comparison. That's also evident from the amount of reviews in both text and video form for the OYYU T11. There's not many out there. Overall, for the price, it's not a actually too bad of a tablet. One of the main reasons people will consider buying the T11 over the many other tablets at the same price point, is because of its dual SIM capability.

OYYU-T11-Black-UK-Review-UK

So essentially, this is a Phablet, which means it can also work just like a 2G mobile phone, or 3G compatible Smartphone.

Please note: It takes a standard size SIM card(s) and both slots can't work simultaneously on 3G at the same time.

OYYU T11 Tablet Simple Specification

However, there is a lot more to this device than just the Phablet feature. It's actually quite a good all-rounder. The 10.1-Inch IPS screen is nice and clear and has good viewing angles, touch screen is responsive, and the MediaTek (MTK8321) Quad Core Processor @ 1.3Ghz is fairly capable. Android 7.0 Nougat comes pre-installed and there's 16GB of internal storage to play with. But only 11GB of that will be free to use due to the rest being taken up by the Operating System and other software that comes installed on the device, which is minimal.

1GB RAM is all the T11 has, and sadly with tablets, this can't be easily upgraded. 1GB RAM is adequate for general everyday use for the usual things like YouTube, watching films, Internet browsing and social media, but it's probably not enough for medium to heavy gaming. Battery life is decent, lasting around a day depending on how demanding on resources the user is.

Of course, the T11 also has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS, Micro SD slot (can hold up to an extra 32GB) and a Micro USB Port.

Build quality is average. Two speakers are present in this device, and they are quite poor quality as stated by users of the device (as they are on most devices that sit within the same low-budget range), especially when it comes to the maximum volume level. This is reported as being low compared to other tablets within the same price range. The Dual cameras are pretty standard, offering 2 mega pixels each (front facing and rear).

OYYU Phablet Verdict

Decent little workhorse, equipped with something that so many people now want because most people own a Smartphone with Data. The Phablet feature is really the T11's main selling point. Everything else on this device can be found in tablets that cost even less to buy. And due to the fact that you can now buy a Samsung, Lenovo, or Huawei tablet for around the same money outlay, It is tough to recommend this model over those mentioned below if you're someone who doesn't desperately need to use the Phablet features this device offers.

For literally Ten - Twenty Five Pounds more than this model costs, you can get a tablet, like a Neocore E1 (review here), DJC Touchtab6 Lite 8 (SIM card slot present and 4G compatible) or a Huawei 53018680 MediaPad T3 8". All of which have between 2GB and 3GB RAM, better or similar Processors, and the ability to hold a much larger additional SD card storage maximum.

The maximum of 32GB the OYYU T11 has is very low when you consider that its competitors can hold anywhere between an extra 128GB - 512GB of storage space. While the T11 isn't a bad device overall, the competition is just too good to really, honestly recommend it over the models and brands mentioned above.

Furthermore, there're other models offered by brands such as Samsung and Lenovo that I didn't even mention. Even some models offered by Alba are decent enough to be considered (review found here). So much choice from the big brands makes the T11's drawbacks potential deal-breakers. Unless you need one of the cheapest Phablets that actually works that is. If not, take a look at what else is on offer. Another Phablet worth taking a look at if you're on a seriously tight budget, is the Tagital 7" MTM-T7N.

Casio W-86 / Casio W-800H Comparison

Casio W-86 / Casio W-800H side by side design and size comparison. I wrote about Casio watches not long ago, so thought I'd follow up with a quick post while they are still on my mind. This isn't a review or a "spec" list of the W800 Vs the W86, but just a size comparison. However, my opinion on the W-800 is, I don't really like it.

Casio-W-86-Casio-W-800H-Comparison
The W-800H is bigger than the W86 in every way. Larger screen, thicker (see the picture below), and has bigger buttons.

There's just something about the W800. It's too digital, if you know what I mean. Numbers everywhere. The screen is too reflective, and the actual read out (the time, date etc) is overly large for what I prefer. Regardless of my opinion on this watch, other people love it.

Casio-W-86-Casio-W-800H-Backs-Casing

And to be fair, it does provide a lot of features for the cheap price. 100 meters water resistance, alarm, stopwatch, and it has a 10-year battery life. It also has an Illuminator light, but its certainly not as good as the Illuminator other models have, such as the W-86 (One of the best) and F105.

casio-side-by-side-width-comparison
Casio W-800H (left) Vs Casio W-86 (right)

It's still decent, though, and much better than the poor micro light seen in the F91W. There's also a mod that can be applied to the W800H that gives it the ability to be used as a countdown timer. Lots of instructional articles and videos on how to do this online. These can be found on YouTube, Reddit etc.

Panasonic RP-HT225 Headphones Review

The Panasonic RP-HT225 are over the ear headphones that have a volume control on the wire. They produce nice sound quality overall, although it does take a bit of getting used to. That's because the sound is very deep. They lack a bit of treble clarity, but they do provide a lot of bass. So, if that's what you're looking for they are a good pair of headphones for the price.

Yes, the low price. Due to them being so low in price should I really complain about how they have basically fell apart over the space of 6 - 8 months. Well, yes, I should. Despite being cheap to buy, I did expect them to last longer than 6 months.

Panasonic_RP-HT225_UK
Didn't last long, despite me being very careful with them

I wasn't expecting this from a Panasonic branded product. I own quite a few Panasonic products, including 3 older Panasonic digital cameras, and all of them have been great, very reliable. So it has been quite disappointing owning these RP-HT225 headphones.

I'm not sure if mine are the normal 225, or the 225E-K model. I don't know the difference between the two models. However, mine just say RP-HT225, so I guess they are the normal ones.

My pair have had the following problems. One of the speakers, like the whole thing, is constantly falling out of its joint / connector, and both sides have had to be stuck with superglue to prevent the one side just falling off my ear and dangling while in use.

Panasonic-RP-HT225-Headphones-Review
Totally Snapped

And then today I pick them up to put them on, and the plastic has bent and cracked. So now one side has snapped off from the arch that goes over the head. I'll see if I can also superglue that. But I'm not sure if it will stick properly due to the plastic being quite thin, and because it's snapped in the location that takes the brunt of the force / stretch as the headphones are pulled slightly apart and placed over my ears.

So it will always be vulnerable to breaking again. Not impressed. The Panasonic RP-HT225 certainly look the part, have very good reviews, and do sound pretty good, but for overall quality I would say give these headphones a miss. I'm now using a pair of Crabot headphones that I had stored away as a backup, and they seem better made than the Panasonic RP-HT225. The Crabot headphones are now sold out, but take a look at these, as they are very similar (more sturdy design than the Panasonics) and have great reviews.

Casio W86 Vs F105

Casio W86 (1VQES) Vs F105 (W1A). I've always liked Casio watches, especially the cheap digital models. I actually prefer the older retro models from the 80s and 90s. You can find a link to some old brochure catalogue / promotional material which features lots of different Casio watches below. But these days, many of the rare older models are either hard to find for sale, or when they can be found they are selling for high prices due to how many people also love and collect the vintage model Casio's.

Casio-W86-1VQES-Illuminator-Watch-Green-UK-USA

It doesn't matter though, because there are so many cheap up-to-date, but still retro looking digital Casio watches to choose from. The most popular being the F91W. Great watch. The only real downer is the poor backlight (micro light) if compared to other models that have the Illuminator function. But for value for money, it's hard to fault the F91W. The W86 and F105 are more expensive. Watch the instructional video below which shows how to use the watch and shows a quick comparison to other models, including the F91W.

Read the reviews for the W86 on Amazon UK | Amazon USA

And that brings me to the two models in question, the W-86 and the F-105. These two are very similar. The main difference between the two is that the W86 lights up green (Some say its blue / turquoise), and the F105 (F-105w-1a) lights up blue. They also each have a green (W-86) and blue face (F-105) design. I presume this is indicating what colour each one lights up. They both have the Electro Luminescence "Illuminator" backlight.

Casio W86 (1VQES) Vs F105 (W1A)

So, which one to buy. That's up to you. Either one will serve you well. I bought the W86. Mainly because green is my favourite colour. They are both very practical watches. The illumination on both models is very bright and clear. Another reason why I like these two models and compare them, is because they are small. I struggle to wear even a small watch without wanting to take it off, so I absolutely hate how big watches have become.

Read the reviews for the F105 on Amazon UK | Amazon USA

These days the big majority of men's watches are huge. Like wall clocks for the wrist! That goes for many Casio's too. The G-Shock models are massive. But the W86 and F105 are much smaller and slimmer than most, and that's a good thing.  They are small, cheap to buy, simple to use and inconspicuous. There's a sale on at the moment for the W86 on Amazon UK. And here is the link to the old brochure catalogue if you want a trip down Casio memory lane.

EMF Radiation Meters For 5G Cell Towers

Acousticom2_RF_Radio_EMF_Cell_Tower_Phone_Mast_UK
First off, there shouldn't even be any 5G allowed in the UK at all, because it is hazardous to human health. So really, there shouldn't be any need for an EMF meter that's capable of measuring the EMF given off by 5G. Sadly, the UK Government (And most other Governments worldwide) favour profit and technological advancement over human health. So thanks to "Smart" technology, self-driving cars, and full-on automation, which is almost totally dependent on the installation of 5G to be fully functional, expect cancer rates to go through the roof. But that doesn't matter to the powers that shouldn't be, as illness is also big business.

What I can't understand, though, is how 5G has passed all the independent safety tests that a product must go through before it gets the go-ahead in order to be cleared and deemed safe for the public. Oh yes, that's right, there hasn't been any.

The tests that have been done all reach the same general conclusion: 5G is very dangerous to human health. The people behind this worldwide installation are well aware of these test results, and they know they can not dispute them. 5G should be halted worldwide until much more testing has been done to truly measure the impact on humans and wildlife.

Check out the video below. A man drives through Bristol in the UK with his Acousticom 2 EMF Detector. The road has recently had a new tower installed. Just look at how high the readout is on the meter. For some reason the uploader removed the video, so I have replaced it with another one.

Absolutely shocking. And all this guy is doing is driving down the road (now using the meter around his house and garden, and also with a WiFi on and off comparison). The meter being used here is the Acousticom 2 (EMFields) and can be found for sale in the UK at the link and in the USA here.

That's why they have basically paid the price in an attempt to hide the dangers from the public and practically bypass / manipulate safety testing guidelines (ICNIRP) that are usually in place to try to fast track 5G to the world. They know how dangerous 5G is. Testing was done, but somehow a lot of the most important factors regarding the dangers miraculously vanished from the results.

The tests done under the ICNIRP guidelines were not correct. Forty, yes 40 studies that clearly showed that 5G damages human DNA were missing. And another forty studies that show EMF increases free radicals in the human body (leads to serious diseases like cancer) are also conveniently nowhere to be found. Add to that another twenty-two studies showing that 5G also appears to negatively affect male fertility and I'm sure you can see we have a serious problem on our hands. Read more about these missing tests here.

And don't think the rush for 5G is because they care so much that your Internet speed could be a little faster. The motives appear to be much more sinister than that. But I won't go into details here, as I don't want this blog to be removed. And I've seen blogs and YouTube channels get removed for covering these topics. However, do a bit of research on this subject and I'm sure you will be just as shocked, disgusted and disappointed as I am.

There are two countries that I know of that won't be having 5G. Those are Israel (Fibre Optic) and Brussels. Switzerland has also recently halted the deployment of 5G over health concerns. There may be more. And there is - here. I wonder how these two countries were able to just say no, and not have 5G installed, but the people in the UK and USA are basically having it forced upon them, even though many people are aware of the dangers and do not want it anywhere near them or their family members. Seems very strange and totally unfair.

Anyway, the purpose of this post was talk a bit about EMF Radiation meters and their ability to measure the strength and danger levels of all things that give off EMF / ELF. Whether its Wi-Fi, 5G, Cell Towers / Phone Masts, Smart Meters, Microwaves, Power Lines / Pylons or anything else, these little frequency meters are very handy to have in this world that is now filled with extremely low frequencies (ELF) and electromagnetic fields (EMF).

And the good news is they can be found for sale at surprisingly cheap prices. Of course, some models are better than others, and as a result will be more costly. A lot of the more expensive models read to a higher level (Example: 8GHz), and others are more accurate. A good majority are digital, while others are not. However, this is not an indication of how good the meter is, as there are some analogue style models, like the ones made by Acousticom (EMFields) which are very good.

Sales of these devices have surged in the past few years. I've read so many reviews and comments written by people who bought an EMF meter, and the one thing that stands out, is that most were extremely surprised, and even scared to discover how much EMF was surrounding them. As a result, some of these people have changed certain aspects in their lives. The route they take to work, where their beds are located in the home, where their routers are situated, Smartphones and much more. A real eye-opener for most.

Please, don't ignore the elephant in the room which is 5G. You do not want this rolled out in your area. Spread the word on how dangerous this radiation bombarding technology is, and do your bit in helping to get it banned in the UK, America, and all the other countries where it seems to be getting the go-ahead right under peoples noses (while in lockdown due to the Coronavirus). This is everyone's problem, and it can only be dealt with by people coming together and saying no.

Best Value Doorbell Camera UK

Best Value Doorbell Camera UK. Due to a need for increased security, doorbell intercom cameras were getting to be quite popular anyway, but now with Coronavirus in full swing people are also looking for more ways to distance themselves from strangers. And with online shopping becoming the most common way people now do their shopping, what better than a doorbell camera intercom for the front door.

Best_Value_Doorbell_Camera_Ring_UK

This will eliminate the majority of door interactions with delivery men and most others, but if a parcel needs to be signed for there will still be a need for some form of close contact. However, while I'm no expert on advancements in "signed for" technology, I would expect that in this day and age there may be a way to sign for something on a Smartphone.

A digital signature of sorts. Either that or perhaps the delivery companies accept a picture of the person receiving the parcel as proof of delivery. There are quite a few ways to counter the need for direct contact for the requirement of a signature.

I've done a fair bit of research on this type of product, and the one thing that really stands out is how almost none of them have glowing 5-star reviews. Prices vary ridiculously, with some costing several thousands of pounds. However, the most expensive models are also, predictably, the ones with no reviews what so ever.

The good news is, I have found a model with a good review score that does appear to offer working Wi-Fi, Smartphone App controllable door intercom with camera that many of the reviewers say is actually decent for the price. That product is the Qihoo 360 D819 (Pictured below).

Features include: Smart Technology (Smartphone compatible - including notifications), Wi-Fi, good quality camera footage (supposedly 1080p), two-way audio communication, different doorbell tone sounds, long life battery, microSD Slot, Tamper detection (Has been a pain for a few buyers) Night vision and motion detection.

Qihoo-360-D819-Intercom-visual-door-communication_UK

Image: The highly rated Qihoo 360 D819 (Now sold out / discontinued)

View a cheap but good alternative here

Any Issues Reported?

Stated by the makers to not be fully waterproof, the Qihoo 360 D819 is best suited for homes that have some type of weather cover protecting their front door. Be it a small rain roof, a porch, or a flat / apartment building where the front door is inside. Other issues noted: Speaker could be a bit better. But overall a fairly good product.

Comparisons Worth Considering

Other than the Qihoo 360 D819, it seems most people go for one of the Ring Video Doorbell models produced by Amazon. All the Ring models offer a lot of good features.

Wi-Fi, Live View, works with Smartphones, Tablets, Desktop computers, Echo / Alexa compatibility, ability to have a conversation with the person at the door, 720p or 1080p depending on the model (most are 1080p HD), Infrared, Motion detection, and the peace of mind knowing it can be easily returned to Amazon if there's a problem.

Or, if you install the product and come to the conclusion that it just isn't for you. Most models can be powered either by internal Battery or Hardwired. The peephole is also not forgotten, because there is even a model that can be fitted directly to a door's peephole, which is excellent and effectively addresses any problems a person might have when it comes to bad weather potentially damaging the intercom.

If none of the models mentioned above are suitable for you, to save money it looks like you will have to take your pick out of the models which all have an average of 4-star reviews on Amazon UK. Some brands worth looking at that offer both audio and visual features are: Fibaro, Kamrea, Floureon, KAMEP, KKMoon and TMEZON.
